Biography: Verity was born and raised in the state of Wisconsin in an average American family, not too big, not too small. Her mother is a housewife who would do anything for her two daughters and Verity’s father is the owner of a convenience store. Other than having happily married parents, Verity has an older sister, who she looks up to.

When the news came out that auditions were being held in Wisconsin for a singing competition, Verity grabbed the chance with her two hands.

Verity made it to the final ten, which she is ecstatic about, yet she missed her Wisconsin life. She misses her parents, her sister, her friends at work; she isn’t used to living with ten people in one house, all chasing the same dream. She isn’t used to the media attention and being constantly followed by the camera.  Verity actually liked her out-of-the-spotlights humble life back at home, it felt comfortable.

To top that all, the media finds her somewhat of a prude. Verity doesn’t go out partying; she doesn’t smoke, drink or does drugs. When it comes down to sex, Verity always made it very clear, losing your virginity was a big deal.

Relationship with Danielle Lauritzen: Verity met Danielle at the audition and they instantly bounded. She is glad Danielle mad it to the final ten, just so she at least has one person she already knows in the Idol house. Both Verity and Danielle are rather quiet, yet out of the two of them, Verity is more social than Danielle is. For the rest of the group, it is easier to get to know Verity than Danielle.

Relationship with Sam Griffin:Verity had her eye on Sam from the moment they met; he seemed different from all the other guys. Maybe the fact that he has two children had something to do with it.

Verity has rather some cliché believes, she believes in true love which goes together with only marrying once in your life. She believes losing your virginity actually is a big deal. The fact that Sam once had been married before, somehow bothers Verity. What if the same thing happens to her? Could she be with a guy who has two children? Will she lose her virginity to Sam?  Was she ready for her first real relationship? But more importantly, was Sam?
